Respiratory Fit Testing
Do you have employees who are wearing respirators? Did you know that OSHA requires annual FIT testing to ensure that they are same? Many employers do not realize it, but the respirator commonly referred to by many as the “little dust mask” (It is actually called an N95) this too qualifies as a respirator and MUST be FIT tested annually?
But wait, it is not as simple as just doing the FIT test. Did you know that each person MUST have a medical clearance, and that is not just as simple as a doctors referral or clearance. While that may be necessary, it is required that each person complete an OSHA Respiratory Medical Questionnaire, which must be reviewed by a licensed health care provider. Upon review, those with certain medical conditions, such as various lung conditions, may require additional testing, which could include a Pulmonary Function Test. Not to worry, Corporate Health Testing has you covered there too.
Corporate Health Testing provides on-site respirator FIT testing, Pulmonary function testing and more.
Did you know that pursuant to OSHA regulations, if you have an employee wearing a full face respirator, they cannot perform qualitative FIT testing when the value of a full face respirator in required. In such cases, they must have quantitative FIT testing. Yes, it all gets confusing, but the real point here, is that Corporate Health Testing understand what the regulations required and we have got you covered.
